Since its founding in 2002, Het Urker Zalmhuys rapidly become a reputable supplier of fresh and smoked salmon. A unique combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern production techniques ensure a high-quality product with a unique and distinctive flavor.
Het Urker Zalmhuys is a young company, but builds on experience accumulated over the generations. We are, after all, located on the former island of Urk, where for centuries lives of all the good things to offer the sea has. CRAFTS SALMON SMOKING

The preparation of the salmon is done for an important part, such as the generations before us did. This means without any additions of aromas, colors and flavors. Dry salting takes place with its own blend, which only our smoke masters know the composition. At the same time we also use innovative techniques and the salmon is smoked in ultramodern smoke cabinets. This sophisticated process makes our salmon a true delicacy.

FRESH SALMON PROCESSING

The wishes of the customer are central to our produce department, where fresh salmon is filleted and boned. With or without skin; an entire side or portioned; everything is possible. Our fresh food section, there is a perfect combination of craftsmanship and cutting-edge machinery. All to achieve the best possible final product.
